Joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 September 2008 and was appointed Chief Executive on 19 March 2009 having been acting Chief Executive since 19 January 2009. He is a Director of Ambleside Consulting Limited. He successfully sold Speciality Retail Company Limited in 2005.

Robin Piggott Group Finance Director and Company Secretary
Joined the Board as Group Finance Director on 28 June 2010. Prior to joining the Company he was at Alexon Group Plc which he joined in 1987 becoming Group Finance Director in 1995. Before joining Alexon Group Plc he held senior financial roles at Granada Group Plc and Geest Industries Plc.

Debbie Hewitt Chairman
Joined the Board on the 1 June 2009 and chairs the Remuneration Committee. She is a Non-Executive Director of HR Owen plc, NCC Group plc, Mouchel Group plc, Luminar plc, Redrow PLC and Domestic and General. She is also a Non-Executive Chairman of HPI Limited. She was previously the Managing Director of RAC plc.

Maurice Helfgott Independent Non-Executive Director
Appointed on 19 October 2010. He is the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Maurice is the founder and Director of Amery Capital, a principal investment and advisory firm. Current board positions include Oliver Sweeney, a luxury British shoe brand, Kookai UK and Long Tall Sally, popular ladies fashion brands, and Retail Profile Holdings, an operator of retail merchandising units in UK shopping centres and subsidiary of publicly quoted Space and People Group. Maurice was previously an Executive Director and Head of Menswear at Marks and Spencer plc.

Bryan Portman Independent Non-Executive Director
Joined the Board on 1 July 2011 and chairs the Audit Committee. He has been Finance Director of a number of retail and financial service businesses; his most recent executive role was as Chief Financial Officer of the Co-Operative Group and prior to joining the Co-operative Group was Chief Executive at Britannic Group plc. He is also a trustee and honorary treasurer for Family Action charity.
